FluEqual - work it!

Internet-project work iT!
Having skills and qualifications in the area of Information Technology almost goes without saying in the Austrian society, also in many professional occupations it is seen as a necessity. Experience in project-management or in intercultural teamwork still don't have the same importance, but surely will be of increased relevance when trying to achieve one's successful occupational integration.

This is where the project work iT! of Diakonie refugee services joins in: Refugees of different origins collaborate in the common aim to create a homepage from and for refugees. Instructions, support and supervision were provided by Diakonie's project team and by external coaches. Because it was one of the primary aims to nourish project- and self-management, the refugees were broadly integrated in the project design of work iT!. Knowledge for the creation of the homepage was offered, structure and contents of the homepage-to-be developed together. In the foreground stood the reflexive debate about cooperative, well-targeted work in an intercultural project team as well as the developing of competence in the field of project- and self-management within the individual's learning process.
